Responsible Gambling at Total Casino
Online gambling is entertainment. It becomes a problem when it starts affecting your finances, relationships or mental health. Total Casino provides tools to maintain control, but ultimately it's up to you to play responsibly.
This page explains which tools are available, how to recognize signs of problematic behavior and where to find help if gambling is no longer fun.
Are You Still in Control?
Ask yourself these questions honestly. If you answer "yes" more than three times, consider seeking help.
- Do you gamble with money you actually need for rent, groceries or bills?
- Do you try to win back losses by gambling more (chasing losses)?
- Do you lie to friends or family about how much you gamble?
- Do you feel guilt or shame after a gambling session?
- Do you neglect responsibilities (work, family) to be able to gamble?
- Do you borrow money or sell possessions to continue playing?
- Do you experience stress or anxiety when you can't gamble?
- Do you play longer than planned or with more money than your budget?
These questions are based on DSM-5 criteria for gambling addiction. One "yes" doesn't automatically mean you're addicted, but multiple "yes" answers are red flags that should be taken seriously.
Tools to Maintain Control
Total Casino has various features built in to help you stay within your limits. These tools are free, optional but highly recommended if you notice you struggle with self-control.
Deposit Limits
Set a maximum for how much you can deposit per day, week or month. Example: €50 per week. When you reach this amount you can't deposit more until next week begins.
Activate limits via Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Deposit Limits. Decreases take effect immediately, increases only after 24-hour cooling-off period. This prevents impulsive decisions during losing streak.
Loss Limits
This tracks your net loss. Set loss limit of €100 per week and you lose that amount, account gets temporarily blocked until next week. You can withdraw but not play anymore.
Calculation: deposits minus withdrawals over set period. Win €50 and withdraw it, your loss limit isn't affected. Lose €100, you trigger the limit.
Session Time Limits
Determine how long you want to play in one session. After expiry you're automatically logged out. Example: 2-hour session limit means after 2 hours you're forced to take a break.
You can log in again afterwards, but interruption helps prevent impulsive "one more spin" decisions. Use this if you notice time flies while playing.
Reality Checks
Popup reminders appearing every X minutes showing how long you've been playing and how much you've won/lost. Example every 30 minutes you get screen with "You've been playing 90 minutes, balance: -€45".
Sounds annoying but it works. Many players lose sense of time while playing. Reality checks force you to pause and consciously decide whether to continue.
| Tool | What It Does | When to Use |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit Limit | Restricts how much you can deposit | If you want to protect your budget |
| Loss Limit | Stops playing at certain loss | If you struggle to stop after losing |
| Session Timer | Forces breaks after X time | If you lose track of time while playing |
| Reality Check | Shows game statistics regularly | For awareness of win/loss |
Self-Exclusion: Taking a Break
If responsible gaming tools aren't enough you can temporarily or permanently exclude yourself from Total Casino. During exclusion you can't log in, receive no emails and can't create new accounts.
Temporary Exclusion
Choose a period: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year. Your account gets frozen, pending withdrawals are processed but you can't play anymore. After period ends account automatically reactivates.
You receive reminder email 7 days before reactivation. If you want to stay excluded longer you can extend period via support before account reopens.
Permanent Exclusion
This is irreversible. Your account gets permanently closed and you can never create new account with same details. Use this only if you're certain you want to stop definitively.
Request goes via livechat or email to [email protected]. They ask for confirmation and process your last withdrawal before account gets definitively closed. This takes 48-72 hours.

Tips for Responsible Gambling
If you just play for entertainment and want to maintain control, follow these practical guidelines:
Budget Management
- Determine upfront how much you can afford to lose - never play with money for essentials
- Consider gambling money as entertainment budget, not as investment
- Withdraw winnings regularly - this locks in profit
- Stop when budget is depleted, never chase losses
Time Management
- Set time limits and stick to them
- Don't gamble when you're tired, stressed or emotional
- Take regular breaks - walk away from your screen
- Balance gambling with other activities and hobbies
Mental Attitude
- See gambling as entertainment, not as way to make money
- Accept that house always has edge - you'll lose long term
- Celebrate small wins but don't attach too much meaning to them
- Be honest with yourself about your win/loss ratio
Protection of Minors
Total Casino doesn't allow players under 18 years. Age verification is mandatory via KYC. If minor gets detected account is immediately closed and deposits are returned.
Parents: protect your children by setting passwords on your devices. Don't leave casino accounts logged in on shared computers. Talk with your children about gambling risks - making it taboo only makes it more interesting.
For Parents
- Monitor online activities of minors
- Use parental controls on devices and browsers
- Talk openly about gambling and its risks
- Set good example - if parents gamble problematically children can adopt this behavior
Total Casino's Responsibility
Total Casino takes responsible gaming seriously. Staff is trained to recognize signs of problematic behavior. If someone shows erratic betting patterns or expresses concerns via chat support can proactively suggest responsible gaming tools.
Marketing is transparent. Bonuses are clearly explained with wagering requirements visible. No misleading claims about "guaranteed wins" or "systems to win".
Underage gambling prevention is active. Age verification is mandatory and strict. Advertising doesn't target platforms with predominantly underage audience.
